Konami Asks Fans for Ideas for PES 2011

Κάπου πήρε το μάτι μου το παραπάνω(http://news.softpedia.com/news/Konami-Asks-Fans-for-Ideas-for-PES-2011-129413.shtml). Η Konami, λοιπόν, κάνει μια έρευνα και ρωτάει τους παίχτες τί προτείνουν να αλλάξει για να γίνει καλύτερο το Pro στην επόμενη έκδοσή του. Ο σκοπός είναι να βελτιωθεί το παιχνίδι - και απ’ ό,τι φαντάζομαι να βγάλει πιο πολλά φράγκα η Konami σε σχέση με τον ανταγωνισμό (βλέπε EA FIFA). Στην αρχή απλά το διάβασα, αλλά τελικά ήταν βέβαιο ότι θα έμπαινα στον πειρασμό…
Έτσι κι εγώ έγραψα την αποψή μου, όπως και πολλοί φίλοι του αθλήματος(!) του εικονικού ποδοσφαίρου, μετά από παρότρυνση ενός φίλου. Παραθέτω το ποστ μου κι εδώ λοιπόν:

First of all, I agree with nikos in comment #52. Dude, you are a true player... Konami expect us to believe that they will take into account our propositions for a better game? Then why have they never asked for it? They just waited until 2011? The frickin world is gonna end in a year (beware of 2012 :P)!
So, let us talk about football. Association football (not soccer, FOOTBALL! I mean come on guys it is played with feet!) is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players using a spherical ball. It is widely considered to be the most popular sport in the world. Soccer is a colloquial abbreviation of association football. It is also the common name for the sport in Ireland, Canada, USA, South Africa, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Zimbabwe(abstract from wikipedia)...
I remember Pro Evolution Soccer before it was given this name. At the time it was called ISS (International Superstar Soccer). I played it with some dudes on the SNES and I thought: "Nice! That is a game by fans for fans". The only football game I knew till then was FIFA, which I kept playing until FIFA 99 on the playstation one. Then came out the ISS deluxe, which was just an improvement and then ISS PRO. I borrowed it from a friend and I was surprised. That was it. The most playable football game for the time being and I went saying: "Oh, man! That is a game by fans for fans". Next, I played its improved 98 version. Then we had an “evolution”. Pro Evolution Soccer, as its name suggests was a game that changed the way virtual football was played. So long FIFA series… It combined the good things of ISS pro with improved graphics, animations, tactics, gameplay, AI. I believe you know the rest of the story…
In the last few years, FIFA series has taken the lead. PES did not evolve much, FIFA got better every year and nowadays, Konami is searching for a way to win back football fans around the globe. So they are asking us. A nice move but one which had to be made at least 3 years ago.PES 2010 was a nice effort. But before that 07, 08, 09 were similar. The real problem here is inspiration, the inspiration the team that made the programming team of the first PES achieve success. I believe the current Konami team can do it again, but they have to do it from scratch. PES 2010 was fun. It is a nice base to build up. Few changes that can be named are: a better graphics engine (nikos suggestion for physx was nice), better animation, physics, humanlike, not bot behavior (study the way people play), licenses for everything (at last!), referees (no penalties for me in 4 seasons in master league, the computer knocks me down, takes the ball with a clean hit and walks away), etc. So keep up the good work and make PES like it was in the beginning. The game made by fans for fans.

P.S. I just hope you people in Japan do not use mac, or else… chaos shall be cast upon you all! :P
